But you succeeded perfectly, they look very nice this way.

@gwskat - Fantastic work with all of the custom masks Gary. Wow. I also agree that the updated numbers look better. It's never fun to redo anything but it's almost always worth it.

Pulled the masking off, cleaned up the ragged edges and give it some Future to help clean it up.
Painted the wing walk ways.

Started the external fuselage camera mount. Soldered the main legs.

Not the easiest material to work with.

In the last stages.

Added moderate weathering with oils, AK pencils and Tamiya pastels.
Assembled the prop and wheels and painted each. Both need weathering. before I attach.
Not true to the JS pic but I also added the periscope sight. I used the kit windscreen which has the periscope hole. I didn't want to leave a gaping hole in the windscreen.

Added the camera mount.

Added stretched, clear-sprue, wing nav lights, painted with Tamiya clear red and green. As well as adding some of each color to the wing top lights and white to the fuselage nav light.

I believe the final items will be adding the wheels, prop and wire antennas.
Fingers crossed but maybe she'll be completed by days end.

Gary, with all the Buffalos hearding around the topics section, I've somehow missed this one until now. I love what you've done with this so far, and it looks like it will be a grand slam. Great work to date, and looking forward to the article!
