Let´s see how this turns out, definitely more work than the Tamiya kit.

slow but steady progress
as usual with shortrun kits, everything needs to be dry-fitted, a lot of cutting, sanding and filling

Although my dad looked through different build threads, he didn´t look enough.

The engine sits about 5mm to deep in the cowl. Thought about using a longer drive shaft for the prop but that looks still somehow off. So my dad cut off the nose along a panel line and installed the engine in a correct, more forward position. Well, let´s see how the re-join will turn out...

Coming along fine, Reinhard (@grimreaper). I have heard this kit can be a challenge, but I suspect it will be a lot more detailed than the Tamiya kit. What paint scheme are you planning for this one?

Your Dad is a very talented builder. I have always said you guys are a great team. I have this same kit in the stash, and have looked at it several times. However each time I put it back. It does look like a nice kit though. I will definitely keep this build journal in mind for when the time comes and I do tackle mine.

Your Dad is well on his way to the paint shop soon. Have you guys picked out the paint scheme yet as far as the section leader or the wing men ?
