Paint Shop, Round One
Just finished basic initial paint job using my own mix of Tamiya acrylics.
1. semi-gloss heavily thinned.

2. undersides painted light grey: 2 parts neutral grey XF19 + 1 part flat white XF2 thinned heavily
1. light grey

2. Intermediate blue: 3 parts XF18 + 1 part XF2 + a smidge of light grey. Thinned heavily.

3. intermediate blue knocked back a shade and lightened with white.
The rudder needs a bit of love to get it to fit right so that's next on my to do list. And then some blue paint touch up.

Paint Shop Round 2

I added the wing walkways using Nato Black. Also added actuator rods to the rear trim tabs, top and bottom. Funny that Tamiya provides the fairing but no rods. Stretched sprue to the rescue!

Coming next is a gloss coat and decals plus more clean up.

It is interesting how different the plane looks with the addition of the black wing walks, Eric (@eb801). Decals next.

Very nice. Adding little things like these rods on the trim tabs are a great idea. I will likely be doing this to my future Corsair builds. The cowling flaps turned out very good too !

By the looks of things, you will be adding the stickers on soon.

Yes, Louis @lgardner is correct - time for stickers. But first I applied a gloss clear coat. Here's where I am now decal-wise. A couple of stencils more and that's it.
1. the red insignias are by fundekals. Letters and numbers sourced from various decal sheets.
