Finally got some work done on the Corsair. Canopy masked and got the bird painted, kind of easy when it's all one color.

Seen various pics showing the gear in white, gray/aluminum, as well as blue. I went with the aluminum and used Fundekals black stripe decals for the hook. I used the kit decals for the star and bars as the Funkekals blue just didn't seem to look right right with Tamiya AS-8 Blue I used. Probably should have used an even darker blue. The stripes and numbers went done especially well. Next up the final bits and pieces as well as a dull coat.

I have always liked this scheme and you are doing a tremendous project with this, @tom-bebout. Great work.
