Great result so far, my friend @johnb! Some local respray will fix the nasybpeel off.

@gblair, @eb801, @fiveten, thanks a lot all. I have always liked those tri-color schemes but never dared to build one when I was much younger and didn't had an airbrush.

Did not have a lot of time to spent on the bench lately, likely also for the next couple of weeks. Reason for that is the refurbishing of the bathroom, doing this together with my dad. Last couple of days were used to demolish everything what was inside the bathroom. As you can see we collected a lot of debris.

Today was a relaxing day and I was also able to do some modelling.
As mentioned a couple of days ago, paint was removed while removing the masks on the tail. Did a repair and it is nearly invisible.

I also added some brighter areas on the dark upper surface to give it a faded look.

The Corsair is looking good @johnb - as will the bathroom, eventually. 🙂

Excellent progress on both projects, my friend @johnb!
Repainting the flaked area is a total success, as is the lighter color application to make the upper side looks more realistic.

@tcinla, thank you, Tom @tcinla. Now it's time to slowly put all the remaining parts together, which is valid for the bathroom as well.

@fiveten, thanks, Spiros. Pretty happy with the outcome myself as well.

After a busy week full of construction work, I was able to spent some time at the bench today. Was able to get the Corsair on her feet.

Always a fine moment when a model stands on its feet, my friend @johnb!
    Looks awesome!

Nice to see your Corsair in the standing position. You certainly nailed the paint perfectly John @johnb. Looks like decal time is right around the corner.

Be careful not to bang your modeling fingers with a hammer during your remodel.

@eb801, thank you, Eric. Next will be painting the wing folding mechanism. The worst of the construction work has been done, demolition. Starting to rebuild everything from now on, which is much nicer.

Looks really good, John (@johnb). 3-color camo is surprisingly complex, but looks great when done. I just painted the Navy Blue on my SNJ and was surprised at how dark it was.

Your Corsair is looking great ! It will get even better from here. I thought I was the only one who personally rebuilds the bathrooms in their house. It's a big job ! But rewarding once completed. Good luck my friend.

@gblair, thank you, George. First time I tried this kind camouflage, not that easy indeed and not sure if the colors are correct but to my eye it looks close enough.
@lgardner, thanks a lot, Louis. Hope to get some more bench time once the bathroom is done. A lot more work than expected, like always.
