Oh boy, last update already one month ago.
The bathroom constructions are nearly done so more time for modelling becomes available.
After removing most of the dust from the Corsair and the airbrush, caused by all the 1:1 construction work, I painted the wing fold mechanism. Detail painting of this mechanism is up next.

Great that you work on the Corsair again, my friend @johnb! The wing folding area color looks awesome,
as does your whole progress so far! Looking forward to your next steps!

Some good progress today. Added the landing gear covers, fit is as expected from Tamiya.

Next was masking the walk ways.

Which I eventually painted in a mixture of Vallejo black (71.057) and black grey (71.055)

This is really looking awesome, John (@johnb). The walkways look great, as does the rest of the paint. It's almost time to add the rest of the wings.

@johnb - Looking great John. I'm glad you've found some extra time. Home remodeling projects are great, but they can take a lot of time.

@gblair, thank you, George. Was thinking about adding the wings as one of the last steps. This will make it easier to add the decals, weathering and remove the canopy masks.

@brithebuilder, thanks, Brian. Home renovation projects always take more time than expected at first. We're nearly done with those, so back to the Corsair now.

@fiveten, thank you, Spiros. Would be great to see those folded wings on.

Good to see you back on this, John @johnb. Paint and weathering looks terrific and so do the tapered walkways. I’m with you. Attach those wings after you’re done with everything else.

Good plan, John )@johnb). I would think that having the wings sticking up would be a real hazard for breakage.

Started with the decals. First time I used of Microscale Micro-set liquid to position the decals. Works nice.

Finally completed the huge 1:1 bathroom project. As usual, it took more time than expected and we also faced some annoying setbacks. In the end we are happy with the result and doing all the work yourself, except the tiling, very satisfying. It even saves a lot of money. Before and after pictures are added.

Closing the above mentione dproject means I can now finally go ahead with the Corsair and all other builds. Today continued with the decals. They do lay down quite nicely.
