Hi, Michael (@michaelt): I didn't want to mess with all the structure, so I decided to model the radiator closed. I cut away all of the extra stuff, which really made it easy to install. It looks like the join between the wings and the fuselage will be easy to fix.

    G’day George (@gblair),

As I have said above, it was watching your build that made me question the instructions.

It was a pain installing the framework at the front of the radiator, but it wasn’t too hard slotting the radiator assembly in place.

Next time (keen to do a Finnish model) I will approach that slightly differently.

I have sanded back the sprue-goo on the wing roots and will spray black primer to see how well I did.

This is a pic of the underside with sprue-goo under the right wing and the left wing sanded back.

Nice work with the sprue-goo, Michael @michaelt
    Looking very smooth after sanding.

I’m quite happy with the wing root fillets, but my rescribing is a little rough.

And the flaps (better scribing needed).

    The nose is also good.

So is the rudder, although there is a small hole to fill.

Your fixes look great, Michael (@michelt). Sprue goo, sand, and rescribe sure seems like a better answer in this case than fill, sand, and repeat did for me. I have just recently dabbled with sprue goo, and I think it may be a really good answer where these sorts of issues crop up. I have to admit I found the whole flap area to be a real irritation. A little planning on the part of the manufacturer could have eliminated the seam through the flap.

Nice masks, Michael (@michaelt). I assume you made your own? The painted numbers will look better than the decals.
