    Hi all,

First of all thanks Felix @fxrob for starting this interesting group build. A period where some amazing aircraft were developed and used. After having seen some of those early war planes in real life during the "Flying Legends" in Duxford, England, it was clear to me which aircraft was the first to choose when this group build started.
It is the Westland Lysander for which I will use the Eduard Limited Edition, kit 11138, in 1/48 scale. The kit includes various extras like PE, resin and masks. I will build it as an aircraft which flew in 26 squadron at the time they performed army co-operation in French territory.

    The box art is great

Decals with various schemes to choose

I will be building the left scheme

    Lots of extras

    And some great sprues.

@gwskat, thank you, Gary. I'm interested in this "Limited Edition" as well. Let's see how it goes together.

@fxrob, thanks a lot, Felix. After watching this aircraft in real, I was really surprised about the size of it.

Added some pictures when I saw it in 2019.

Me in front of the Lysander and the Blenheim.

The Lysander without me, it does improve the picture a lot 🙂

Really looking forward to this one, John (@johnb). I have always been intimidated by all the glass and the complicated interior on the Lysander. I just got the new Airfix kit, but I want to save it for a while. I think the Eduard kit has the Gavia kit with all the cool PE, decals, and resin. It should really build up into a nice model.

@hptiggelaar, thank you, Harm. It was a really great day to be among those warbirds.

    @fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros.

@gblair, thank you, George. The glass will definitely not be the easiest part, luckily Eduard did add masks to the kit.

Like the pics John. Looks like you are ready to jump right in and fire her up.

Oh, by the way, you inspired me...just purchased the Airfix 1/48 kit. Not sure when I will get to it but she sure will look good next to other RAF stash-ers.

John @Johnb, regards the photo with the male model. It only seems natural that a model would be needed to introduce a model. Great subject I believe the Lysander used the same engine as the Blenheim. The cowlings rings of both aircraft were integrated with the exhaust systems. It will be interesting to see Georges Airfix Blenheim engines in comparison to your Edward kit. Looking forward to reading your comments on this build.

@fxrob, thanks, Felix. It is a picture taken to prove that I was there. But I do prefer the pictures without me 🙂
@stephen-w-towle, thank you, Stephen. To me the aircraft being a single model is sufficient for me :-). I will keep you informed on the progress.
