Hi folks, for those interested, here’s some information about the new Tamiya WW1 tank, scheduled release in July. It seems that it’s designed as a motorised model…..the image didn’t come through, you will have to go to the Tamiya website the picture!

    New Item

1/35 Scale Motorized Tank Series No.57

WWI British Tank Mk.IV Male (w/Single Motor)
    Item No: 30057

Length: 230mm. Image shows assembled and painted kit. *Enlarged image

★Tamiya is delighted to announce the release of its maiden WWI tank model, which depicts the British Mk.IV Male tank. ★The model includes a motor and gearbox to allow exciting forward running. ★The Mk.IV possessed a rhomboid form which was designed to enable it to pass over the extensive static trench networks which evolved during WWI. This form is accurately captured by the model.
*Utilizes durable and easy-to-assemble link type tracks.
    *3 marking options included.

The information on this page is current as of June 5, 2014. Specifications are subject to change without notice.

Yeah, it looks good George but with a price tag of between £40 & £50 I can’t see me indulging. They have a group of 1/35 WW1 British solider figures coming out as well….

Looking forward to seeing it, Neil. Do you think you will motorise it?
