i bought this kit thinking it was new to me, found out it was the second bike I ever built about 3 years ago. This one I will paint black.

Was hard to get motivated not sure why. This kit starts off with the swing arm and damper first. Unusual to me.

Engine is next but once again it will be a slow burn. Tomorrow would have been our 14th anniversary so it will be a strange day. I’m still reeling from 3 weeks of back to back severe weather among other things.

    Anyway here it is

Looking good so far. It’s ok to have a stable of Ducs.

Hi Cricket @bikequeen, this is a great kit and I’m sure you will make a lovely job of it whatever colour you choose to finish it in.

    Weekend update …

Got the subassemblies done and assembled them. The frame was to bright gold so I hit it with a light coat of Tamiya Smoke. I have done this before and it’s a neat trick but care must be taken because a little goes a long way and it sneaks up on you really quick and can ruin the effect.

I also painted the cowlings and fairing, but the are no photos yet. They came out okay.

I’m happy with the build so far but my heart just isn’t into it. Spring is here and lots to do outside

So here are the weekend update pics … maybe more later today

That's a great trick with the Tamiya smoke, Cricket @bikequeen
The engine and frame together do look great.
You're right, with the arrival of spring it is difficult to keep up with getting the garden into shape.

@johnb I dont have a garden no patience for it, but I have 3 acres I take care of my husband and I were in the pricess of clearing a lot of it out last summer but never finished it…so now I’m trying to keep it up
