Ditto from me, Cricket (@bikequeen). The paint and aftermarket parts make the engine and other parts look incredibly lifelike.

As threatened … :). Here is today’s progress …. I mounted the engine in the frame and then it was chain day here at Chez Cricket 🙂 i watched the Plasmo video a few weeks ago (the inspiration for this build) and he did great with the chain so I figured this one will be easy, but now I have a few under my belt. Man was I wrong! About 6 hours to do it. It was different than the others I have done it’s static unlike the others but thats ok.

After the chain and sprockets came the swing arm, it was mostly done, I didnt run the brake line and out it all together then realized I left out the brackets for the brake line…took it all apart…thankfully Tamiya uses screws :). Ran the brackets then the line and reassembled it all/

Was a long day but worth it … tomorrow will be exhaust system and radiator day :). I’m working against time as the weather is changing and it’s going to get cold. The connector I need for the new airbrush will be here tomorrow and I’m not sure i will be able to use it .. anyway here you go thank you for looking and the comments and of course the encouragement! 🙂

Excuse the typos, I’m not going back in to fix it as it spits out multiple posts : /

This is very impressive, Cricket @bikequeen
Should have taken you quite some time to get that chain done.
    Lots of details.

You have a lot more patience than I do, Cricket (@bikequeen). The chain links look awesome, as do the PE fittings. These will really raise the level of this motorcycle.

@gblair thanks George! It’s a decent set of PE parts but not as good as the last Yamaha but I like it 🙂

Some progress still not feeling so hot but not sick per se just worn out I guess. Made some progress on the front wheel and forks. Added the rear fender, and exhaust system. The exhaust system was all chrome and the real bike look more yellow than chrome so I hit it with a light coat of Tamiya rattle can smoke, that toned it down.

Not real happy with the front fork but it will have to do. Calling it a day, have to close out December and 2023 for the Fire Department tomorrow and then it’s laundry day! OH FREAKING JOY 😉

    Happy new year everyone

Whose giant hand did you find to put together that motorcycle? 🙂 Really looks the part Cricket. I may have to consider my CB750F kit for 2024.
