Thanks everyone, they came come out pretty well, 22 decals in all and half a gallon of Walter’s :). It went quicker than I expected not 100% but I’m happy with it. I put another coat of solvaset on it last night and all laid down well…one spot I need to fix so pics later. @gblair Walther’s has only failed me once George it was a large decal on the cowling of the Honda Africa Twin, it crazed badly but it may have been the clear I sprayed over it.

Here are the carbon fiber decals on the front cowling, actually it’s finished. I still have the protective film on the mirrors keeps the fingerprints off 🙂

22 decals in all plus the chrome Kawasaki badge and the PE intake vent. Not prefect but I’m happy with it

Looks pretty good to me, Cricket (@bikequeen). I can't imagine 22 decals on there.

Looking good from here as well, Cricket @bikequeen
Hard to believe you put 22 decals on that part.

That graphite looks amazing Cricket. I used to do composite work for United Airlines (including graphite) and your work looks the part.

@gblair @johnb @fiveten @clipper @chinesegeorge. Thanks everyone there are a couple spots where water or air got underneath and wouldnt flatten out the next morning so it is a bit wrinkled in spots but I’m happy with it

Hi Cricket (@bikequeen): You probably already know this, but sometimes you can get bubbles out of a decal by taking a sharp Xacto blade and putting a microscopic slit in the middle of the bubble and adding more Solvaset. I didn't notice any bubbles in the photos, so maybe you should just leave it.

@gblair Yeah i thought I had them all sealed but the next morning they reappeared and had hardened so they never really did seat well…I’ll take a pic of the bad spot later

Hmmm. That doesn't really look like a bubble. You might still try poking a tiny hole and reapplying Solvaset. Multiple applications of the softener might also work. Last resort, I have heard of modelers who soften the decal with a hair drier then apply more Solvaset, but you would need to be very careful not to damage the decal or the plastic part. It honestly doesn't look bad and probably won't be noticeable when the bike is complete. Worst case, you can do what I do: just use photos that show the other side. :o)

@gblair it was a bubble and I pierced it after is was well dry and reapplied solvent that is the result and to me it looks like ca ca :). And thats is exactly what I did yesterday only send you the good photos 😉
