@brithebuilder, thank you, Brian. Not an easy kit but very enjoyable.
With the main color, mica silver (tamiya ts76), sufficiently dry, I mounted the front fender.
Looks really great, my friend @johnb!
@fiveten, thank you, Spiros
That front mudguard has slid into place perfectly, @johnb, the mica silver has come out very well.
@chinesegeorge, thanks a lot, George. Now on to the Mica Blue.
Front brake disc covers and calipers mounted and the hoses attached.
Looking fantastic, my friend @johnb!
You must be very pleased with how she’s looking, @johnb.
@fiveten, thank you, Spiros @chinesegeorge, thanks, George. Indeed an enjoyable kit and so much details.
For the next week, weather forecast was low temperatures. Therefore I decided to speed up the painting process of the mica blue. Masking was done and I do hope I can still get it painted later today.
A wise decision to speed up painting, my friend @johnb! Masking is great!
This evening I was able to gave the parts two rounds of mica blue. Kept a bit more distance now with the rattle can and that seems to work quite well. Lets hope the mica silver will stay on when removing the masks.
The Tamiya paint dries quite rapidly and this morning I could easily remove the masking. Luckily no chipping due to removing the tape.
