About this Group
I have always had an interest in Night Fighters,. I have written two books and an article about the P-61 Black Widow, but my interest is much more than that. There was a lot about the P-61 I never was able to find, I am also “Very” interested in the Luftwaffe, the Japanese Night Fighter Force, the RAF, etc. I am very willing to help people with their P-61 research (Squadrons, nose art) and I would love to learn more about the others. I have put together a bibliography on the books that I know about (actually I need to add a couple) for the P-61. But let’s talk Night fighter.

This is such an amazing entry, my friend @uscusn!
Cannot wait to see a masterpiece emerging from your bench! -
Will do this particular Tam Mosquito to contribute for this Night Fighter GB.
Can’t wait to get started.

Masking conversion and guitar string tricks duly noted for personal use! Simple but great solutions. That is by the way some massive conversion work on the office. Others might just have closed it up and been […]

What great attention to details, my friend @coling!
I am really amazed to see all conerns taken care of. This is meticulous job!
Though it is true that PEs are only two-dimensional, I, too, find the idea of […] -
Thanks my friend @holzhamer!
it is true that the AMT Havocs build solidly and fast, especially the P-70 with the solid nose (and the all-black scheme).
Might one suppose that, though I knew it was wrong, I […] -
That will be one to watch! I’m in!

Well, I have been working through a few more issues with the Black Widow. I started by test fitting and painting the lower and rear interior Zinc Chromate Yellow, thinking it would all be smooth sailing. As I […]

Spiros my friend, looks like this will be one of your best projects to this date, surprisingly fast but a solid build nonetheless. The work around those exhausts is remarkable, really

Great entries, my friend @gkittinger!
As Pedro, I will be looking forward to see those pens performance. -
That’s a super dual build Greg! I recall a model posted here or elsewhere (?!) not long ago where the fellow modeller used one of such pens in such manner, and for a 1/72 model the result is very neat and r […]

“Dusty” is looking mighty spiffy, Sprios. Great job as usual. Did the P-70 stash that life raft behind the driver’s seat or had they done away with it by then? What’s the word on that?

Thanks for building and sharing this, Spiros. I’ve had an AMT A-20G in the stash that needs building for 25 years. Nice to see the problem areas.

In the process of my 109 project, I came across some nice references for 109’s used in the night fighter roll, with overpainted markings. Yep – have.to.build! Additionally, a friend just sent me a YouTube video […]

Second filling and sanding loop finished, with “Dusty” looking more homogeneous. As I am going for a closed canopy, I attached the aft canopy non-transparent part… …then sanded it smooth, awaiting a tad of […]

Thanks my friend @airbum!

One step back but then leaping forward two! Nice work with more PFP work to come, and extra detailing on the horizon..

Thanks my friends!
Louis @lgardner, what a stash section! I have only built one Monogram B-25, but I love the AM ones. They are considered very good kits and, well, I have spotted a last piece of the Academy […] -
Great save Spiros! Looking forward to seeing how your finishing touches turn out on these cowlings.
