I hate hearing any aircraft this sleek & beautiful called a "pig!" Ha!

But I never flew them, either! I have heard & seen them streak overhead at about 100-200 feet on their way into Iraq during Desert Storm. One flew so low that it scared my crewman so much (he was trying to get an hour's sleep on the back deck of my M1A1 [HA] tank) and he rolled off the tank & onto the ground (about a 1.75 meter drop!) because he THOUGHT it was going to crash into us ! Like David mentioned earlier, he was silent until he was right on top of us ... I just happened to be looking in his direction or I'd NEVER have seen him until he was well away from us. It was VERY memorable ! (Not to mention deafening !)

Thanks Jeff, we call it a pig because it has it's nose close to the ground !
