Hello there ! Anybody who can provide at least one good photo of a F7 Tigercat before painting ? My question is : Before the Navy or Marines colour , Tigercats received some protection with primer or the color goes straight to nude metal ?
I believe US aircraft were primed with yellow primer in the 1940s and 50s. You might message Tom Cleaver (@tcinla) or Louis Gardner (@lgardner), they seem very knowledgeable about such things and might be able to help you.
