Basic paint finished - no weathering effects, just paintwork so far. Next, I'll leave it all to thoroughly cure for a couple of days, then apply a couple of light coats of (lacquer) clear ahead of the PLW's.

More later in the week, thanks for taking the time to look and/or comment. Cheers from a very humid NZ.

    Excellent paint job, Ian @ij001
The various shades are perfectly done.
Heard about the very humid conditions in NZ on the news, nature is unpredictable, a terrible situation for a lot of people.
Hopefully you did not got affected by it.

Thanks John, no where I am just got 'a rainy summer weekend' nothing worth mentioning. Obviously folks up in Auckland - where roughly 30% of the entire population of NZ live - got an absolute hammering...

Panel Line Wash & oil weathering / stains done, then sealed with two lacquer gloss coats ready for decals. Yes I do the main weathering before the decals then tone-down the markings later if I need to - I know it's a*se-about-face to most modellers, but it works for me.

Usually I enjoy the decalling - Hmmm... pretty sure a lot of these tiny Cyrillic stencils are going to be staying on the sheet.

Wow, a lot of stencils indeed, Ian @ij001
A true challenge, can imagine you will only use a few of them.

Too many stencs indeed, my friend @ij001! I doubt all were present at the real thing...

Last pics before final assembly. Matted down with Tamiya lacquer flat, mixed with around 70% Mr Color levelling thinner. Two mist coats, then a final 'wet coat'. Got a super smooth and super flat finish... actually a little too flat, but that's fine.

    Cheers from NZ.

Looks wonderful, my friend @ij001! To my eye, definitely not too flat, but just right.
Looking forward to the final assembly!
