Late to the party with Major Greg "Pappy" Boyington's Corsair. Using Tamiya's kit for the project. I will forego the review as this is the 3rd Tam of 3 Corsairs I have built. I have those full in box reviews. Will start with the build.

Looking forward to the Corsair, Chuck (@@uscusn). These Tamiya Corsairs always seem to build into nice looking models and are an enjoyable build. I'll be following along.

Step 1 starts with the cockpit.

Mission Models Acrylic Interior Green is used for the interior as well as employing Quinta decals for the details.

The side console details are removed to add the Quinta enhancements.

The RH sidewall details are added.

The rear bulkhead and side consoles are assembled.

The IP Quinta panel is applied.

The pedals and foot troughs are assembled. and attached to the forward wall with the IP.

Next to add the belts to the seat and complete the cockpit.

Thanks Spiros, 3rd Tam Corsair is like a habit, progress is steady.
Thanks John, 1st time using the Quinta set, the previous Tam Corsair builds I used Eduard's PE zoom set.
Thanks George, the 3rd time around progress is a bit quicker.

Continuing work with in the cockpit, will use the Eduard seat belts to attach the seat.

The fabric feel of the belts look good on the seat. Using white glue to attach them. Then the seat is installed to the rear bulkhead.

The control column is painted and installed.

The forward and rear cockpit components are assembled which completes this portion of the build.

Next step is to assemble the lower wing section.

The lower wing section is painted interior green and the brace is placed into the window opening. This will be painted Interior Green as well.

Next the upper wing inner will have me attach the middle wheel well wall into the upper wing.

Then the upper wing panels are attached to the lower wing section.

Finally the intake grille inserts are attached to the inner leading edge of the wings.

    Next up installing the cockpit

You have clearly made some great progress, Chuck @uscusn
Those fabric seat belts look impressive. Just wondering, is it easy to remove the excess of the white glue?

Cockpit really came together quickly, Chuck @uscusn. I have never used the fabric seatbelts before, but they look good.
