... annnnd, here she is, standing on her feet...
Some white touchups...
Your work with the acrylics turned out very nice, Spiros @fiveten I have to admit I was hesitated with acylics at first as well, but after a while it works just as nice as oil based paints. A couple of more tries and I'm sure you will like it as well.
Thanks my friend @johnb! Yep, a learning curve!
Shoes on...
Nice progress, Spiros @fiveten Did you flatten the tires yourself or is this from the molding.
Thanks my friend @johnb! I flattened the tires, indeed, the main ones are the unflattened leftovers from my Eduard Airacobra: they look much nicer than the Monogram ones.
The main doors' retraction struts were provided as PE to twist, fold and glue...no way...🤠I replaced them with pieces of stretched sprue...
The stretched sprue is clearly a better approach, Spiros @fiveten
Thanks my friend @johnb! Twisting and bending to shape these old school PEs is an exercise in insanity...😬
These are the anti-sway braces, supposed to be rendered by PE twisted and bended: absolutely no way! Here they are, made from stretched sprue...
Looking great, Spiros @fiveten
Thanks my friend @johnb!
Drop tank attached, the sway braces don't look too uniform...well, might be the case in reality as well 🙂...
Does look great, Spiros @fiveten Your definitely right about the braces.
