Being a perfectionist has its strengths and its weaknesses. Using your critical eye to correct things is good. When you end up correcting your corrections and can see more imperfections . . . shelve the kit for awhile take a breather and come up with a better game plan. From the photos you've provide Lis (@lis) you've done a great save. The wing tip photos look great and the offending black hole in the wing has disappeared. Sometimes mistakes can be good and the final result is better. But, frustrating to say the least.
With your new knowledge and tool set for correcting and making Mossies . . . that Airfix kit will look even better.
