Creating more havoc again only in a smaller scale this time? @fiveten. Always wondered about this kit which I think was reboxed in several variants by Special Hobby. Happy with the detail?

Thanks my friend @eb801! Indeed, this is a reboxed MPM/Special Hobby kit, a nice, very detailed kit, limited run in nature (meaning test fit before joining), but close to being mainstream.

The gun tray had the gun holes and ejector chutes opened, then attached in position...

The nose gun openings had to be filled with styrene rods... ...then with liquefied styrene, which was used for another filling round... Thanks for stopping by!

The belly gun tray looks very nice this way, Spiros @fiveten
Starts to look very smooth as well. Another round of sanding today šŸ™‚

Thanks my friends @lis and @johnb! Cockpit and rear radar operator's office needed some trimming to fit.

How about quality of styrene? At first glance, I thought it looked quite strange. Does the glue hold them together well? Did You use extra thin glue or CA?

The styrene's surface looks tad strange, but the styrene itself responds positively in thin styrene glue, my friend @lis.

Coming together well, Spiros (@fiveten). Paint scheme should look really good.

There is a saying; Treat people like gold and ye shall receive gold in return.

Some of Revell's (MPM) plastic is definitely not Tamiya. Then again your not paying Tamiya prices the kit is more short run. Given the subject matter Tamiya wouldn't touch this a/c so win, win. Looks interesting Spiros. Its pulling off the black paint scheme that makes or breaks these kits. Look in good.

Thank you my friend @stephen-w-towle! This kit is very comprehensive, with all key "details" (landing gear, engines, interior and so on) correctly replicated. One will not find oneself short there. Yes, though being one of "new era" MPMs upon its launch in 2007, it IS limited run in nature and the modeler might use his reserved graphic language upon removing, say, the one piece props from the sprues, having to cut six (!) sprue attachment points adjacent to the finely detailed hub of each prop...šŸ¤”

On the other hand, all is there, fit is challenging but manageable and price is right for a subject that mainstream manufacturers do not show extreme interest...
