Spiros and Erik - I used Tamiya X-21 flat base, which needs to be mixed with something, but I think I should have gotten the flat clear instead. It's very humid here in Houston and I'm pretty sure that had a lot to do with it. I have to paint in my garage, which is climate controlled. The climate outside controls the climate inside!

Jaime, I think you are spot on - acrylic likes to interact with humidity. I'm not entirely sure I would like to have your climate control my friend - I am very fortunate to have a spare room that is used for storage, Airbrushcabin and Stashstore. I build in my livingroom - one of the advantages of being part-time batchelor 🙂
