Hi Reinhard! I would call you (your father) a fast but quality builder. Looking great so far, becoming better and better.
Nice teamwork here with your father building and you taking the pictures and posting. A joy to follow, and fingers crossed that you will perhaps get inspired to some builds too 🙂 Keep them coming!
@Erik sooner or later i finally will build a model again 😉
engine and cowl mounted, flaps done in downward position to bring some more life to the model
attached the one piece canopy for now to have the cockpit aread covered for painting, gonna apply the multipart canopy later

so, getting to the camo job...
MRP Silver for the underside
and Tamiya XF-52 Flat Earth as first upper camo colour
some chipping in the wing root areas
Looking good. I really like the chipping
Great! I love the chipping too!
Engine looks convincing, and I like the paint job so far!
my dad decided to do the camo pattern by using the paint instructions as template, copy and cut it out and fix it with blue-tac on the model
will be a step by step work
first test looks ok, used Gunze H59 IJN Green
Camo lines look good and definitely more "scale" looking than being airbrush freehanded. Good progress!
caught in the act 😀
Nice. What tool is your dad using in the top photo
he´s using a scalpel
Your Dad isn't wasting any time with this one ! It's moving right along. Great idea with using the instruction sheet as a painting guide. It looks like it worked very well.
and the masking and painting fun goes on
