    Matt, having checked the net i can tell you that the first Canadian manufactured Lancaster rolled off their production lines on 1 August 1943 (see wikipedia - Victory Aircraft) so the Dams raid (May 1943) Lancs were definately built in England! BIII Lancasters did have Packard Merlin engines tho'.

    Gregor, I think you're right. The Canadian version Of the BIII was the B Mk X. Found an interesting site:
