Just finished reading this entire tread. Great work in all parts, the build, masks, paint and decals. I can't wait to see the masks come off! Congratulations on such excellent work
Looking forward to the unmasking, John (@johnb). This is still a great combo of colors for the camo: new leaf and old leaf. Great looking model.
@fiveten, thanks, Spiros @bpd78530, thank you, George. I should be able to finish it by this week. @gblair, thanks a lot, George.
Final clear coat is on. Canopy masks are removed, the clear parts need a bit of cleaning. Unfortunately I knocked off the antenna mast on the tail so that needs to be re-attached before adding the antenna wire.
Looks really great, my friend @johnb! It happens with antenna masts.
@fiveten, thanks a lot, Spiros
Anything that sticks out of the fuselage is a target for destruction, John (@johnb). Things like antenna masts, landing gear, long machine guns, external gunsights, prop blades, and so on have all be broken off in my builds.
@gblair, indeed, and in most cases this happens near the end of a build.
Nice save on the decal! The antennas are actually there to create extra fun. . . .
Beautiful Buffalo, John!
@airbum, j-healy, thanks a lot. Hope to get this one finished by the weekend.
Antenna wires are on. Just a final inspection and touch-ups before calling this one finished.
Looking awesome, my friend @johnb!
Everything looks perfect, John (@johnb). I would call it done and stick it in the display case.
@fiveten, @gblair, glad you like it. Just finished the photoshoot. Calling it done. The camouflage turned out a bit too dark to my idea, could also be that it is not that easy to take pictures of a dark scheme in front of a light background. I already used grey instead of white to make the colors better vissible.
This is how the Buffalo in the museum looks like.
