Just got this one the other day. Guess I'll try to "git her done" for this GB.
Now your cooking ! Great choice Craig. I'll be watching this one...
Just for sumthin' maybe a little different, I think I'm gonna try for this look.
Beautiful kit Craig, you're gonna love it!
I'm gonna start with a 1:32 scale Hasegawa F6F-5, "Hellcat", followed by a Ttumpeter 1:32 F4F-4, "Wildcat".
You're gonna finish BOTH of 'em? Show Off! LOL 🙂
I finished mine yestaerday 🙂 1/72 Academy...really baaad kit

You copycat Craig lol, great choice of scheme, I did my 1/72 Fujimi as that, different number though !
Looks rather good for a bad kitty Dimitris.
Nice one Craig, and the version you have chosen makes a colourful cat. @Dimitris, sure looks good with the weathering.
That's a cool choice of markings Craig. Isn't that an Iranian AF Tomcat ?
Dimitris, your Tomcat turned out very good. The weathering is fantastic ! Maybe you can start something else for the "Year of the Cat" ?
Freddie, I'll be looking forward to seeing you work your magic with these choices of 'Cats... 1/32 is a great scale to build.
Thanks again Craig for starting this build thread. I'll be watching for updates buddy...
Yes, Louis...it's an Iranian version (not my first choice, but that's the only foreign service decals included - (I'd have rather done an Israeli one, but I'm not sure they even had 'em in their inventory). Dimitris, if that's a bad kit, I'd love to see what you'd do with a GOOD one. lol Good luck and happy modeling everyone.
You will really love building that kit, Craig
Decided to go old-school ... doing a figure of Al Stewart ... lol. Actually, pulling out one of my old Monogram 1/48 F-14As and applying tons of trickery and brute-force modeling along with a 30-year old Superscale decal sheet for VF-84 in low-viz overall light gull gray.
