1/48 “Humpin Honey” Monogram B-29 Superfortress

My planes just keep on getting bigger, actually I've always loved the b-29. As an avid fan of WWII it was a must to be a fan of the b-29 considering it was the plane that dropped the nuclear bombs on Japan. Originally I was going to purchase the[...]

1/48 Hasegawa F/A 18D

Hey Guys, just finished Hasegawa's 48th scale F/A 18D kit and i used aftermarket decals, due to the kit lacking in the seat detail, i made my own seatbelts for the first time, and mixed my own colours, Hope you like it,

1/48 Spitfire Mk.XII converted from Tamiya Mk.V

Here is one of my old stories from the past. I did not checked my notes but probably this was my first converted model including some surgery and inexperience. This is Spitfire Mk.12 with the markings of 41 st squadron ( EB-B MB 882 ) flown by [...]

TBF-1 Avenger (conversion of the 1/48 Accurate Miniatures kit)

Done back in 1998, using the KMC TBF-1 conversion to do an early-production TBF-1. The KMC wingfold consisted of the resin wing center section; The outer wing "hangs" on a piece of piano wire from the resin center section to the horizontal sta[...]

Tamiya 1/35 AAPV7 w/UGWS

I picked this one up at a local model show for $10. Again built stock out-of-box. Painted with Model Master acrylics and weathered with oil washes, filters and pastels. Figure painting is certainly not my forte, especially modern US 3-tone deser[...]

Tamiya 1/48 A6M2 Rufe

Nothing special about this one. A classic Tamiya kit that still holds up well even more than 30 years after its original release. I built mine stock out-of-the-box. Painted with Tamiya acrylics. A nice, quick and pleasant build.

The Wildcatfish (Tamiya 1/48 F4F-4 conversion)

A nice way to turn a $30 kit into a $150 model. Tamiya's excellent F4F-4 with the Cutting Edge conversion set to do the F4F-3S "Wildcatfish." and the Just Plane Stuff F3F-3 wing set. The sets included new non-folding wings (JPS) and the ponto[...]

More metal with a side of rivets….Fine Molds 1/35 Japanese Army type 89 Medium tank….

Still on an armor run. This one was actually a great surprise Boithday gift from my kid last year (January 22) and a fabulous gift it was. I probably never would have bothered to get it, as it came in a three-installment deal in concert with Ar[...]

1:72 English Electric Lightning F.2A

A long time ago in a galaxy far away, I had the idea of building the 1:72 Trumpeter Lightning F.2A kit. It looked great in the box, so it should be a nice quick little build, eh? Those of you who are familiar with that kit and its foils know tha[...]

D.520 AMS Relief Project – Pt 2

I am one of Vic Russell's partners in the this AMS Relief project. I'm not sure it was entirely effective, in my case...;-), I built this kit when was first released it and I remember it being a " beer & pretzel" weekend build. For whatever [...]
