Not so much of an update, more of an apology.
Do to work last weekend and this not a lot has been done.
Plus it has been too warm to spray.

So some prep work.

Body shell cleaned and air scoops added (they had been painted, decalled and varnished before.

And this head on shot.
I fitted the chassis temp to gauge the fit, and it is quite good.

And here a couple of the cab, with the dash temp in place, but the door panels and rear bulkhead fixed.

I hope to post a bit more when time allows.

A little update.
First off, these are some of the bits left to work on.

The discs were given a coat of base black, before a coat or two of Alcad Chrome.
The faces were painted with a hairy stick and Tamiya XF 56, and the calipers painted with X7.


The exhausts were given the Chrome treatment too.
Then a dusting of weathering powders Tamiya`s Soot and Oily Blue.

The Prancing Horse emblem went the same way, with the Chrome of course.

Postings could get a bit sketchey for the next few days, we a wait the birth of our first Grand Daughter.
So apologies to all.

Not a lot done.
I managed to put the decals on the discs and wheels.
These just need varnishing and assembling.

It just leaves, engine bay cover to mask, plus the air box, a lot of stuff with that.
Oh yeah the body shell too, that needs painting too.
So, lets see what can be done over the next week.

Well it has been nearly a week sine I posted anything on this build.
Sorry about that, George said why. We have become grandparents for the first time.

Anyhow, the wheels and radiator have been finished and fitted.

This is what you will not see a lot of once built.

So on wards to the body work...

Well, I have some news.
The windscreen was badly scratched, to bad to polish out.
So a quick email to Revell on Monday resulted in a letter arriving on Wednesday, saying that a replacement would be sent from their HQ and would take 4/6 weeks.

So, I decided to get on with the bodyshell.
Two light coats of primer Alcad White.
Then given a light polish with some 3000 grit paper.
I then painted the rear light surrounds and vents.

Tamiya X11 for the reflector , X10 Gunmetal for the vents, they will be given a black wash before sealing under satin varnish. The light surrounds are X18, and the lens X27.

Will post some more when I can.

It would of been to apply the black/gunmetal George LOL.
