Having the 3D printed chocks and bollards will be a nice addition. I'm fortunate in that those items on my kit are provided with the Flyhawk detail set as turned aluminum (for the bollards) and PE (for the cleats). The PE cleats will have to be folded to give additional thickness. Fun.

I like how the conversion is coming along here George (@gblair). Once you get some of this together, you'll have to show us a farther away shot so we can see how it looks overall.

Thanks, Spiros (@fiveten) and John (@johnb). We'll see how good the craftmanship is when we see if everything fits.

The name of the game today was getting two identical sides to the new troops compartment amidships. I had previously cut a template, then rough cut a side in .06 plastic. I started today by getting final measurements for the side from my working plans, then used a Dremel to grind the side to its 6mm height. I used sanding sticks to smooth everything out, then rechecked the height along the side. I used the first plastic side as a template for the second side, which should be identical. It took a while to cut, grind, and sand the second wall to shape, but I think the two sides are close enough to use. My granddaughter will be at the house for most of the day tomorrow, but I hope to move the superstructure forward a little after she leaves. Cheers.

Just caught up with your posts, George.
Nice piece of craftsmanship so far.
Those chocks and bollards are really tiny. Make sure they don’t get eaten by the carpet monster.

Hi Alfred (@alfred): Making slow, but sure progress. I printed the small parts in tan filament, so they will be forever gone if they take the big dive into the carpet. Luckily, I can print more it I lose some.

I am still moving slowly as I build up the troop compartment and mate it to the rest of the structure. My typical session goes from the APD layout, to the kit instructions, to the model for measurements, and repeat about 12 more times. I think things will move a little faster once I get this troop compartment built. Cheers everyone.
