    Bridge is almost completed.

Also stated with the rigging of the mast that will carry the radar dome.

I made use of rigging wire for the first time, before that I used to do rigging or antenna wires with stretched sprue. However this method always seemed to leave an impression of wires that were a bit to thick compared to the scale of the model.

The rigging wire is very stretchy so it’s relatively easy to put some tension on the wire.

It took me some practicing to get the hang of it though.

I must say Alfred (@alfred), that is a very nice paint job on that cockpit assembly. At first I thought it was a photo of the real thing.

The bridge and hull are united!
There’s only a small gap to be filled at the front of the bridge.
I must say the overall fit of the kit is superb, as can be expected from Tamiya.

Really nice work on the weathered surface, Alfred (@alfred). What colors did you use to get the mottled appearance?

    Thanks so much my friends. @clipper @gblair @fiveten @johnb

In fact this is just the base to be further refined with some accents with different tones of green. So far, I used white primer and made shading effects with Matt black. After that I sprayed a heavily diluted olive drab base coat on top. All are Ammo MIG acrylics.
