And another thing..it came with drop tanks. I've never seen a Raptor with drop tanks. Until I Googled it. They they were!

Sorta defeats the purpose of stealth. Unless you use the fuel in those first (on the way to the "target") , then get rid of 'em, I guess.

Anyway, for a kit I got by mistake, so far it seems manageable - almost as big as a 'regular' 48th scale kit (the F-22 must be pretty huge). The cockpit is kinda sparse, but whaddya expect for 1/72nd? The heavily tinted canopy should take care of that problem anyhow.

Haven't gotten into much assembly yet..mostly de-spruing and cleaning up (a few sub-assemblies is all I've touched glue to).

It's gonna be basically a "practice" kit before I do the Kitty Hawk F-35. It's been a while since I've been at the bench and I'm hoping to get all the 'rust' off BEFORE the Lightning II. Or the Ventura.
