    I could have sworn I put this up already but it seems to have disappeared. I bought the cockpit set for this subject before I bought the kit. I had access to a couple or real Mohawks when I built this, so reference material was not a problem.

    It may seem counter-intuitive, but the side hatches on the Mohawk do not hinge on top. The hinge fore and aft at the top corners, so that when raised, the top of the panel slides under into the canopy. We have one of these out at Planes of Fame and I have seen it open that way. If you check photos, you'll see exactly what I mean. It's a super-easy fix.
