well now that I am free for another build coming up I have a choice between two. The Hasegawa FW 190-D9 Jabo with a CMK resin torpedo or the Trumpeter TBM. Ill be ordering this as soon as pay day rolls around. I really like the TBM because the detail in the engine area but I want to display with the wings un stowed. If I go that route I am concerned about the
gaps that I will encounter but that would be about the extent of it. The 190 is the newer molding from Hasegawa and it comes with a little resin and I think some PE. I know what to expect from that kit, sort of. I have this thing for the Butcher Birds and this is the only fix for the next couple of months.

I would like to try my hand at some sort of dio or vignette with this and use it for display in my clubs next show and contest.

    Whacha think?

Well Paul, both are very good kits that offer a lot of possibilities for a diorama/vignette. Personally, I think the TBM would be a bit easier in way of available reference material and ready made carrier base sections. In addition to the aforementioned, when I go to contests/shows, FW-190's are always in abundance, how often do you see TBMs? The TBM would be very noticeable among the usual Messerschmitts, Mustangs, Spitfires, and Focke Wulfs. Not making the choice for you though, just giving you my two schillings.
