When I posted my build of the Tamiya 48th 'birdcage" Corsair a few days ago, I'd used pieces of black signboard (the subject was fairly light-colored). I recently got a hold of some WHITE signboard, so I wanted to see how it looked with a dark subject matter.

This is one of my desktop models and since Corsairs seemed to be all the rage of late, I decided to pick this one as the "experiment-ee" (besides, it's dark). I think with a little more tweaking, I can make it work. This was a rush job. Thanks for your indulgence.

Craig, I think you are using florescent lights? it looks real good and plenty of light however, I would suggest a full spectrum light bulb. It is almost like a plant bulb and it easily recognized because it is RLM 76 type blue.
For me, I think it enhances the contrast and helps with the depth of field. I am no photographer but I like the results.

By the way the white board is just as nice as the black board

Thanks, Paul...the lamp I'm using IS florescent. Actually, I "acquired" it from the wife who was gonna use it for needlework and never did. It clamps to the side of the bench and is [sorta] flexible. It has two brightness settings and works great for what I need. Maybe not the best light for photography, though. I usually take photos outside whenever I can.
