I am always excited to hear about a new Tamiya release but I cannot say I am very excited about another 1/32 Corsair (or any other kit that has already been done). When will Tamiya, or a lot of the other major plastic model manufacturers start filling the gaps with some much desired kits in 1/32? I would really get jazzed up if someone would announce (then deliver) a 1/32 early marque Spitfire/Hurricane, Typhoon/Tempest, P-51B/C, Hellcat/Wildcat, etc. Getting tired of everyone releasing another P-51D, Messerschmitt 109, Zero, or the late marque Spitfires. Sorry to p**s on your parade if you are excited about this kit, the Corsair just does not scratch my itch.

Well, for what its worth, i too would like to see a better 32nd scale Hellcat and Wildcat. Not sure Tamiya would take on the F6F, but they might do an F4F if the market is there for it.

I think it would be logical to hope for a 32nd scale P-51B, perhaps before we see a F4U-1A or -1D. There's no arguing the B-model Mustang has been poorly represented so far in 32nd scale. And i don't even know Mustangs all that well.

Just a guess, but it wouldn't surprise me if Eduard decided to take on a 32nd scale Spitfire I/II, or V series, and of course PCMs Tempest is starting to hit the shelves now.

The word out of Germany is that Revell is releasing a new tooled Spitfire Mk.II in 1/32 this coming August. But I figure it will be released as soon as I finish their old tooled offering. Ain't that always the way?

Seamus, didn't Trumpeter release a P-51B in 1/32 a wee while ago? I've never built it so i can't vouch for its accuracy etc. Its a bit pricey as well at around £50 over here.
