Rob, those are 2 completely different moulds. Accurate Miniatures launched their Il-2 family in the late 90s (according to Scalemates in 1997), and its moulds have been reissued under Italeri and Revell labels.

Tamiya, on the other hand, was launched in 2012 and only has that box.

AM provides the single seat version, including one with skies, and the 2 seater. Tamiya is a 2 seater version only. Hope this helps.
