TBF Avenger Tail Markings

    I'm building a specific Avenger which was part of squadron VC-78 on the USS Saginaw Bay (CVE-82) during WW II. I have found two references, but am not sure which is correct if either. Anybody have any insights that would help?

    Found a match for the first pic on Wings Pallet - According to them was CV-90 off of CVE-80 USS Petrof Bay, 1945. Has that same number and tail marking. http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/b/565/3/9
