Good news for all you 1/72 Mosquito fans. Airfix has updated their very nice Mosquito (for years the best in that scale and still a contender as far as external detail is concerned) and has created a B. Mk. XVI. It will be released this fall. Airfix Modelworld Magazine has a preview.

Hey Allan- looks great so far- I think the Brengun twin stage Merlins in 1/72 and 1/48 are the most accurate ones out there. I have bought two pairs of them for my 1/48 twin stage Merlin Mosquito builds. I should have had my mosquitos ready for paint by now but this summer break I got distracted with finishing a 1/48 FW190A-4, and two IAF A-4 kits (A-4N and TA-4H)...

the Brengun bits need some adjusting to fit, spreading to match the kit spinners and nacelles !

Well, Allan there will always be a better option if you wait long enough, but where is the fun in that? I recall back when PC's were new, you could always get a better one next week, so I went and bought a programmable typewriter that served me well. What I'm getting at is that with your skills and determination this one will end up being a fine Mosquito @kalamazoo.

Great to paint many same colored thingies at once, my friend @kalamazoo!
The Mosquito is nicely coming along, I liked a lot the paint filler!
