    I am sure the locals knew about this a/c but, for the rest the world it was a hidden treasure along with several other P-40's and others. Some great color references and links to other shorts can be found here.

    If that one Mosquito is still structurally sound, there may be an actual original Mosquito in operation. Those P-40s are really rare, since nearly all the others were broken up for scrap. The historical value alone is amazing.
