Ahhh, those famous Stuka flaps with the minuscule areas to hold onto the wings...

Stuka Update - paint on undersides and most sub assemblies. Decided on scheme "Stuka No 3" as it had bit more variety with markings.

Can someone explain to me why the Stuka gunner had a pedestal seat and not a seat with a backrest? Seems like an akward position for the gunner when the plane went into its deep dive? Just wondering.

Really nice work on this. I think the Airfix Stuka is the best in this scale.

The effect is from multiple washes (enamels) over flat finish - this gives the wash more bite but you need to work small sections at a time otherwise you get tide marks. I have used brown for most part and dark brown & black around engine. Underneath I used dark grey on the blue / white areas. Hope that helps. All the enamel washes are from Tamiya range of washes they do now. I also shaded some of the panels on topside with lighter paint to as well to empathize some fading from sun etc.
