The Eduard Spitfire IX (early) weekender kit, done as Stanislaw Skalski's airplane from the Polish Fighting Team attached to 145 Squadron in Tunisia after II/JG 2 showed up with their Fw-190s.
The kit assembled. DecaL for the instrument panel and Eduard seatbelts.

Looking forward to it, as well, my friend @tcinla!
Nice as well, Tom @tcinla Will follow this one also.
The model painted.
Beautiful painting, my friend @tcinla!
Beautiful camouflage work, Tom @tcinla
Decals applied.
Looking great, my friend @tcinla! The blue codes with white bordering really add up to the already beautiful desert camo. Those decals really snuggled down!
Just got the weathering done this past week.
Love the weathering, my friend @tcinla!
Great results, Tom @tcinla
Beautiful painting! I like it very much! due to the fact that a similar model in the 1:72 scale is waiting for me in the queue, I was wondering if Skalski's plane did not have any covers for the wheel rims? The photo does not explain the situation sufficiently. Another thing is that the planes didn't have desert filters. I suspect that the engine life was definitely shorter.

@lis - The Spitfire IXs were sent to North Africa on an "emergency" basis, following the arrival of II/JG 2 with their Fw-190As. Some Spitfire IXs got fitted with the Aboukir filter seen on some Spitfire Vs.
Thank you for your information! In the memoirs of Bohdan Artct and Wacław Król, I read that at least during the PFT operation, they had never met the Fw190 planes. Only meserschmitts and Italian Mc202. A very interesting topic is with these Spitfire IXc, because apparently the pilots from squadron 145 did not want to fly on this version, and the Poles from PFT took them willingly. Older pilots reportedly preferred the V version.
