Just a few WiP 🚧 pics I wanted to share.
Am I the only one building an F-16 at the moment as I do not see much activity in the group currently? Or have I started too early with this group build?

You are progressing very nicely, Alfred @alfred
My excuse for not progressing with the Falcon, is the work I have currently with reconstructing my bathroom. This simply takes to much of my sparetime.

    Thanks @johnb
    So you’re working 1:1 scale currently 😂
Success with your bathroom project 🛀

No worries @alfred. The official start date is later as mentioned in info, but for now it is a private group. It will be open for all once we pass the roll-out date for the first YF-16.

    Great! @airbum

In that case I have an excuse to buy another Viper after that date …
Would also be nice for comparison purposes as the one I’m building currently is rather mainstream and the second one will be more towards “high-end”. Not sure which one to buy though. Tips anyone?

    I got the smokewinders!
Nice addition to my 60th anniversary Polly Grey falcon.
Thanks again for the tip, Erik! @airbum

    @alfred
I can recommend the newest Kinetic F-16 family. So far the only let down, and probably my fault, is the exhaust noozle, a 3 section part that although beautifully casted just doesn’t seem to snuggle into the engine tunnel and keep the right circumference look.
Other than that the plastic and decals inside the boxes are first rate.

    Thanks Pedro @holzhamer
I will definitely consider one of the Kinetic kits!

    The tail section is finished.

Here you can see the squadron’s mascot Polly Grey in full glory.

The story of Polly goes back to the summer of 1942 when a small number of Dutch fighter pilots flew for the RAF and were stationed at bases located on the south coast of Britain.

They wanted to have their own squadron within the RAF and nearly a year later 322 squadron was formed.

However they still needed a mascot.

In July 1943 pilot officer Sluijter returned from leave from London and brought an African Grey parrot with him.

It was then decided the parrot should be the squadron’s mascot and was named Polly Grey.

Nowadays Polly V is in active service with this oldest Dutch squadron since 1989.
