F-16XL - ‘Go BIG or go Home’ !!

‘Go BIG or go Home’ is a phrase we always say when playing euchre, and I figured it’s a good motto for this build as the plane is the F-16XL - even though it’s in 1/72nd scale.

I always wanted to build this F-16XL version but figured I’d have a hard time hunting it down and pay some big $$ for the not easily found item; thus, I was very excited when I found the exact kit I was looking for at the Toronto IPMS Hobby Show held earlier this year in Brampton. I was excited to find this ‘pre-owned’ kit intact with the original decals in great shape - I thought it was an incredible deal for $10.

I was not aware of this variant, need to do some reading about it.

$10 - and molded in color! You are going to span the entire development with this and the YF.

A pity this variant never made it to production.
Top-view reminds me a bit of the Saab Draken.

This will be a cool one to build, George (@georgeswork). I have always thought this was the best-looking version of all the F-16s. Not many paint schemes to worry about.
