Hi, John (@atjoe). I very rarely build armor, so no help from me either. Having said that, I like Tamiya armor, which is a good mix of detail and ease of building. Newer armor has gotten extremely detailed and difficult to build, as well as very expensive. I don't think you can go wrong with either Tamiya kit. Have you tried looking them up on Scalemates.com, especially their instructions, to see which might suit you better? Or you might simply do a Google search for a build review? Good luck.
