Using future floor polish or spraying a gloss coat?

    Hi all
I'm interested to hear any comments on what you think or do regarding prepping your overall finish before applying decals and then flatting down or sealing.
I've never done it although their have been times when I've cursed my cautiousness after completing a build. It does apparently help with decal placement and adhesion but I've found using good old micro scale sol and set does work pretty good and then just spray a flay coat over the top.
    Any thoughts please?

I use a local brand similar to “Future”, basicaly a household floor varnish for hard floors indoors, a gloss acrylic product. It performs well on brush and airbrush (sometimes I thinned it down a bit with isopropyl alcohol). I prefer it to some other gloss varnish I have from several brands. It does help to blend the decal carrier film, but even so silvering still happens occasionally
