Wow, Chuck - it’s a monster! I’ve just been back through the whole thread. 135 posts. Congratulations! I know it’s not there yet - but the learning here is immense!

Even at this point adding the final detail parts takes quite a bit. Now working from the top. Starting at the tail and work forward. Thinking that it's painted decals are applied, the landing gear is attached. Almost done!, right!.

First the horizontal stabs are attached and placed in a slight drooped position. The attachment point is not the greatest as each end are propped for a couple hours as the glue sets.

Next the upper dive brake door has the actuators attached and then placed in it's location between the twin tails.

Left in the open position, the fit is good here.

    So far so good.

Now moving a bit forward at the spine behind the canopy, a pair of blade antennas are attached.

The canopy is crystal clear once the maskings are removed.

The NFO's step door is ready to be attached in place on the LH side of the nose.

Hasegawa supplied the PE with the kit for the internal step ladder and inside canopy rails. The side of the step ladder are painted gloss white and the rails are flat black.

The decals have been applied on the step door and Ladder door.

Next up to assemble the ladder and the detail bits on the canopy.

    more to follow.

Thanks Eric a few final details and we can finally wrap this baby up.

Heck ya, Robert the F-14 was always a looker.

Now to finally attach the final details to finish this incredible long term WIp!

At this point is to build and detail the seats. My initial intent was to get a set of resin seats and install them about this point of the build. But the Hase seats are ok and are correct for this version, so I opted to go ahead and use the kit seats and enhance them with Eduard's seatbelt set.

Starting with the side panels painted black and cushions are in OD.

Assemble the upper and lower seat cushions and then insert them into the assembled side panels.

At this time the top ejctions grab handles and panel is painted black and also attached to the part of the seat.

One seat with he belts atttached, next to install 3 pull handles on the side and the front lower panel.

The pull handles are attached to the seat.

The first seat is then placed carefully in the rear/NFO compartment.

The 2nd seat for the pilot has the the overhead ejection handles in place and again placed carefully in the forward pilots compartment. Careful not to knock any of the PE bits off.
