Wow Erik @airbum, I'm guessing it's still a little chilly over there. Trying to make the best of my time. I've even mentioned to the wife I might bring a small table down to the office space so I can cut sprues and make ready on a few things. She was not amused. 😉

Don't hold your breath Erik, or you'll turn blue and die and that wouldn't be good. We'll get "turned loose" when there's a vaccine for this, and when the promised testing actually happens so we know who has it and doesn't, who's been exposed, etc., so we don't go out and kill ourselves. Der Dingleberry may think things are opening up, but he's just on his seventh bankruptcy, doing it to a country instead of a casino this time - and this time he's not getting away free. The virus is showing us all what masters of the universe we aren't.

What are you CNN? Cleaver News Network, the same bs, misinformation, false news, un-American, pro left liberal views, plain liar? And now your a doctor as well? Your a virus yourself infecting this site with your negative and disrespectful ways. in fact your lies and self serving attitude has infected this site in ways that has killed more modelers off this site than the virus itself. We should call you TC-19, or the Cleavervirus. Your sick methods dirty unclean responses to new members who post on this site with discouraging comments are over the top. When others call you out with proof to refute your claims you mute them to keep them from calling you out time and time again. You plagiarize information as your own from others. You take credit for techniques that are not your own. All you are is a second rate screenwriter (even that is generous) with movies about amazon women and porn. You don't get the luxury of criticizing the US government on this site, go to a political site and rant. Your not a doctor and get to say when and how where a vaccine is coming if ever! You don't know that. Just like you don't know about WNW, just blurt out misinformation based on an other sites opinion. And you get called out on that. Just because you want to be the first one. When the statement simply says it doesn't look good. No where does it says they are done. A more accurate statement is they are in trouble and most likely will not return. Lets hope that they can recover. That would've been more encouraging instead of being negative as you prefer. Stick to modeling even that is suspect. Thank fully most of us are immune to your viciousness. Who knows maybe a vaccine will come along and will cure us from your dirty mind and flush you down the toilet. Chalk it up to bad upbringing.

Wow... Where did all this come from ? What planet do you live on TC ? Did you have one too many last night and your head still hurts ? What gives ?

I don't understand where or why Mr. Cleaver, aka "the virus" comes up with his Liberal left twisted views. I thought this was Imodeler and not Ipolitics. There is no place for things like this, and I'm sure that our fellow viewers get tired of reading garbage like this from Mr. Cleaver that gets posted on their build threads .

Good for you Chuck. I couldn't have said it better... Now that I have responded, I am just as guilty of interjecting politics when it's not supposed to be here in the first place. But enough is enough, and something has to be done to curb or eliminate TC's negative behavior.

Tom Cleaver needs to be stopped in his tracks before he runs off yet more good people with his antics. Tom ran off another new member named James Pullen when he posted his personal views about Wingnut Wings just a few days ago. Cleaver's views, (often which are not factual based), are gobbled up like candy by some who don't know any better... and yet he continues to do this. Mr. Cleaver has been informed about not being correct about various things on more than one occasion, by more than one member, yet he continues to promote his lies and propaganda based "un" truths, just like what we typically see in today's media broadcasts. I don't understand or condone this type of behavior. It's un American and anti social. We should all try to work together instead of pull everything apart with controversy.

We all need to "Mute" Mr. Cleaver or just try to ignore "the clown" if the admin staff here at Imodeler continue to let him infect the website. Besides, if you want to read what he has to say, simply go over to Modeling Madness. Almost everything he posts here on Imodeler is second hand day old news. You can read almost every one of his articles there a day earlier than you can see it here ... if you're interested.

For him Imodeler is the second string if you will, and always will be. 95 percent of his articles were "cut and pasted" from Modeling Madness and simply presented here as a means to promote his books. He is self centered and egotistical.

Now you know why "The virus" has been banned from multiple other modeling websites. His negative comments like what I described above.

You can see for yourself this guy is twisted. Half a bubble off plumb. Not normal.

    James,
Forgive me for chiming in, but I had to... I can't stand this kind of behavior or his views. That's why I have him muted... I'm sorry to have interrupted your build journal with this response.

Going back to the build journal, you have made some outstanding progress. I really liked the last photo you posted with you holding your families newest addition. Congrats my friend.

@jamesb, great picture of yours with the baby! Thanks for sharing and congrats to grandpa once again. This build is looking great. It's not speed that counts but quality of implementation, which there definitely is! Looking forward for more, my friend!

@jamesb sorry to have triggered this load of non-relevant comments on your build - I shall try not to comment on other things than your great build and perhaps just a small mention on your beautiful family now and then in the future!

Erik @airbum, You didn't trigger that. Tom did that all by himself and the others were just being protective. He should have known better than to bring Politics into my thread. He won't be anymore.

It's okay to get off topic from time to time. Especially in these times, it's good therapy to hear about other peoples day to day life.

So moving forward, please feel free to comment.

My favourite update was definitely the 14thof April. The diorama is looking splendid - just stunning. All of the work with glue and windows is paying off, in spades!

And then that photo with the new addition. Congratulations again. Fingers crossed you will move beyond photos and phone calls very soon!

Michael @mrieth, glad to hear from you. I know it's been rough in your neck of the woods. Hope all is well with you and family. BTW, I tried mimicking your method with little luck. Could not find the right sized syringe that would lay down a small line. They were all too big or the mixture was too thick. Did the best next thing. I think it turned our okay, maybe a little large for scale, but I'll take it.

Paul @yellow10, thanks for stopping by and the kind words. Yes, that was a good post. Hoping this thing lifts in the next few weeks so I can see her more.

    Stay safe Gentlemen.

James @jamesb another good thing about living around "Cajun Country" besides all the great tasting food, is using oddball things for model making. Not only can you inject your turkey and other meats, this syringe can be modified to apply thick paint as tar lines. Of course, after cutting the point off, it can only be used for the hobby.

Outstanding Michael @mrieth. Didn't even cross my radar and I've got one or two of those stashed away in the kitchen. Thanks for pointing that out! Pun, fully intended. I can already see a lot of inquisitive looks coming from around the world. LOL

This lovely little device is most often used for injecting meats and poultry with seasoning. Used heavily in the southern states, i.e.: Louisiana and Texas, it IS one of the best ways to bring the heat to your dish. Flavor through and through.

    Thanks Michael, stay safe!

    Mini-update 04/18/20

    • or -

One of the reasons I love my wife…….

I had been thinking about how I could really better represent the brick work on the Control Tower. I’ve been playing with some washes and not really having much luck with the results. Several months ago I had found “How To Make Buildings – Basic Construction And Painting Guide” by Jorge Porto. This was a Mig Jimenez idea and was published by AMMO last year. The cost of the book was that of a decent kit, around $40 US. So I didn’t rush to purchase, just put it on my Amazon Shopping/Wish list.

I had the annual event of birth about 10 days ago. I have reached that point that I don’t really do big celebrations of the day and such. Phone calls and cards, just the way I like it. She on the other hand varies from year to year. Big ones, yes we can have a party, but for the most part it’s just another day to me.

Her present this year (one of two she told me today) arrived in the mail box. The book mentioned above.

Wow, this thing is awesome. Highly recommended!

Now that I have a better idea of technique, the Tower should take on a better representation and be a tad more realistic.

Stay tuned and stay safe, more to come………….
