Looking really great, Spiros @fiveten
Thanks my friend @johnb!
Just about done, Spiros. She looks really nice. Well done. @fiveten
Thanks my friend @gwskat!
You need to talk to the crew chief, Spiros (@fiveten), leaving the prop on the wing is probably not good maintenance practice. Everything looks great!
You are right, my friend @gblair! The wing will exhibit many "dings" there, among others 🙂. Thanks for liking the Hellcat looks so far!
@fiveten - The Hellcat is fantastic Spiros! Great work on the paint. I'm looking forward to seeing how 'used' you make it.
Thanks my friend @brithebuilder! To my understanding, those Navy birds were receiving frequent touch ups whete paint would show signs of peeling, rubbing, dinging and the like. So, it will not be much of metal showing. But it will be quite a bit of dirt, grime, staining and the like.
Some black wash...
Very nice wash, Spiros @fiveten
Some pastels and minimal silver dry brushing (only at the blade leading edges and just a tiny tad onto the wing root where the pilot and crew step on - the Navy ground crew touched up every spot that would be suspect to chipping...
Nice work with the pastels and chipping, Spiros @fiveten
