Well, after the Eduard F4F-3 didn´t make it to finish, my dad dares a new attempt with the recently released Eduard FM-2.
Gonna do a seablue scheme but don´t know which one yet.

cockpit tub done and fuselage already closed
although my dad read several build reports by fellow modellers where they warned about paying attention when installing the turbo charger not to have it the wrong way around, my dad did it wrong 😄 but luckily he could correct it

    wings mounted
dad was too fast and forgot to drill the holes for the rockets...doing it afterwards is always a bit of a guessing game..
same procedure as with the Hellcat nighfighter, glueing on the one piece rocket-stub and then cutting off the rockets

also already some work on the engine

Looking good with the wings on, Reinhard @grimreaper
Seems like you located them already, but for next time, you might be holding to wings against a strong light source, maybe that way you can locate the thinned areas for the rockets.

Part of me thinks the instructions are wrong with the assembly sequence on the turbo chargers. I'm still not 100 percent sure if I made a mistake or if it was the kit. It is so easy to get this area wrong. This is the only downfall of this kit.
Your Dad is making some good progress on this FM-2. Looking good !

@lgardner - the instructions are right, but they're easy to misread, since often they have the parts posed from a POV we don't have holding the actual model.

    That is entirely possible.
