Your Dad is making some very good progress with the Wildcat. I enjoyed building mine. I built it as a "Yellow Wings" plane that was on display at the Worlds Fair in 1940. The kit itself was a nice fit. The only thing I remember that gave me some trouble was the landing gear. It looks like you Dad has figured it out. Well done !
